Tuesday November 3, 2020 is Election Day please remember to get out and vote!

Nether Providence Township is divided into 7 wards with each ward having established a voting location for Tuesday’s election. There are a total of 5 voting locations in the township.

If you do not know what ward you live in check the map of Nether Providence Township wards. By entering your street address you can also check the PA Department Of State polling location information lookup for your specific voting location.

Voting locations in Nether Providence Township will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Exercise your right to vote on Tuesday November 3, 2020!

Mail in ballots can be dropped off 24/7 through Election Day Tuesday, November 3 at 8 PM at any of the 35 Drop Boxes located in Delaware County.

2020 Nether Providence Summer Recreation Program Registration

Nether Providence Township has announced the return of it’s always popular Summer Camp for 2020. The camp is for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade as of September 2020. The five week camp will run from June 29, 2020 to July 30, 2020 and will be held at Nether Providence Elementary School (NPE). Camp hours run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM – Monday Thru Thursday.

Fees for the 5 week program are $285 for kindergartners and $260 for older attendees. Registration will take place daily beginning Monday April 6, 2020 at the Nether Providence Township Building located at 214 Sykes Lane, Wallingford, PA. Hours for registration are from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM – Monday thru Friday.

Shred And Fed – Free Paper Shredding Event – Saturday April 27, 2019

On Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2 – 4 PM, Wallingford Presbyterian Church located at 110 East Brookhaven Road in Wallingford will be sponsoring a “Shred and Fed” event in the church parking lot. This event is free and open to the public – no businesses please. Bring your unwanted paper items to be shredded in a highly secure, mobile shredding unit operated by professionals from Docuvault Delaware Valley while you watch. Please bring paper only. Plastic bags, metal, binders, binder clips, spiral notebooks, credit cards, computer hard drives, wood, and other materials cannot be shredded. Paper clips and staples are acceptable.

While the event is free participants are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items for local food banks at Chester Eastside and City Team. Alternatively, you can make a monetary donation to these local food banks that provide much-needed support to our neighbors in Chester.

In the last two years, the event has produced more than 1,600 pounds of food and $1,200 for the two organizations.

Unwanted E-Waste Will Be Collected At The Recycling Event

Nether Providence Township and Media Boro are sponsoring an electronic recycling and shredding event on Saturday Saturday April 13, 2019 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the Acme parking lot located at 527 East Baltimore Pike, Media, PA.

E-Waste: Recycle almost anything with a plug for free! Old-style TV’s and CRT monitors do require a disposal fee – dependent on it’s size.

Shredding: documents with sensitive information that need to be shredded in a safe, secure, and environmentally friendly method on site. No CDs, or DVDs.

E-Recycling service is provided by PAR RECYCLE WORKS – a local nonprofit that sells reusable materials collected from electronic devices to help pay for salaries and job skill development for formerly incarcerated men and women, in order to support their productive re-entry back into society. Because of environmental issues that make safe disposal expensive, there is a fee for the following items:

$40 for CRT monitors and conventional TV’s under 40″

$65 for CRT monitors and conventional TV’s over 40″

Air conditioners and large appliances will not be accepted.
