The Delaware County Council has approved a 2011 budget which maintains the real estate tax millage at 5.18 mills.
In practical terms this means that the County tax will be $5.18 for every $1,000 of assessed value. For example the County tax bill for a home assessed at $100,000 would be $518. This is the second consecutive year that County taxes have not increased. Do you know what your property is assessed at? I would be glad to let you know.
This follows Nether Providence Township’s recent announcement of a 4.97% increase in township taxes for 2011.
